In addition to producing high quality images and sounds, the new 2011 models are even easier to operate and come with a wide range of handy functions, such as the quick starting and high speed playback of Blu-ray Disc™, a stylish, easy to use on screen control menu, and a Touch-Free Sensor that lets you open and close the disc tray without even pressing a button. Networking has also advanced, and now includes a Skype™ function. By using a separately purchased communication camera, you can communicate visually with faraway family and friends. The True to Cinema Sound Concept

The Panasonic Blu-ray Disc™ home cinema system was developed under the concept of reproducing an ideal cinema-like surround sound environment. Cinema Surround Plus increases the surround sound effect horizontally as with previous systems, and now enhances it vertically as well. The Anti-Distortion Speaker reproduces crisp, clear sounds to achieve True to Cinema Sound Quality.

Household appliances account for the majority of all energy needs in the home - especially refrigerators, which have to run day and night, all year long. Innovative new features in Panasonic refrigerators make them some of the most energy efficient, with an energy label rating of A++ and No Frost technology.

Inverter technology

Conventional refrigerators have just one power level, but new Panasonic refrigerators have various power levels to ensure the most efficient use of energy. Temperature sensors and microprocessor technology work together so the Inverter can finely adjust the compressor - enabling the refrigerator to operate at the most efficient power level. At night, the refrigerator works at a low power level and has extra power for quickly freezing items if you need to.

No Frost technology

Traditional refrigerators with direct cooling form frost and ice, especially in the freezer. And it is this layer of ice which reduces the cooling effect, forcing the refrigerator to consume more power to achieve the same desired temperature level. To save energy, Panasonic refrigerators are equipped with No Frost technology. It keeps your refrigerator frost-free and performing efficiently, with the added convenience of not having to defrost.

Next Generation in Laundry Performance

The new Panasonic washing machine uses a 3D Sensor to detect the movement of each piece of laundry and automatically adjusts the rotation speed accordingly. This ensures that your clothes are thoroughly washed. The added bonus: with its tilted drum, the washing machine uses less water too.

Top energy efficiency with Inverter Control technology

The Inverter technology is key to Panasonic industry-leading performance. The Inverter changes the motor's rotation and output based on sensors inside the washing machine - to achieve perfectly clean clothes. This clever technology also ensures efficient energy consumption, using 30% less energy than an A-rated model. Due to the quiet brushless Inverter motor, you can barely hear the machine running.

Water-saving tilted drum

This enables Panasonic washing machines to take another step in making your washing needs environmentally friendlier and more affordable. Reducing water consumption without compromising on washing results is a difficult task, but not with Panasonic. The drum of the machine is tilted by ten degrees, significantly reducing the water levels. Along with the 3D sensor and Inverter technology, the washing machine can control the movement of the drum to provide the very best washing results. Although the machine uses less water, clothes are fully rinsed, leaving them free of all detergents. New models consume only 6.3 litres of water per kilogram of clothing - which is a mere 50 litres for a full 8-kilogram load.
